Joya

Cleveland

(she/her)

Joya Cleveland is originally from Springfield Massachusetts and is proud to call Tulsa Oklahoma home. She is a mother to her one son who is her sunshine and brings her so much joy. Her experience includes over 12 years of working with disenfranchised populations with various non-profit organizations serving locally and nationally in various community roles such as a case manager, residential advisor, community outreach coordinator, and a bilingual court advocate. Joya is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and bridging inequality gaps. She completed Leadership Tulsa’s Thrive program, is a board member of Amplify Youth Health Collective, and a proud graduate of Oral Roberts University and current Howard University graduate student. Her favorite memory of Strong Tomorrows was doing hospital visits as a case manager with students and meeting their babies for the first time. Supporting students for months while they are preparing to become mothers and witnessing them holding their bundles of love was always special and memorable. She describes the work of Strong Tomorrows as helping build strong parents so they can have strong futures.
